Hanover, October 22, 2025 – Mittelweser Heilquellen GmbH, previously known for its Quellmed care range, is entering a new era:
Under the new name the source lab., the company will present all existing and new products – with a fresh design, clear language, and unchanged philosophy.
The Nienburg healing spring water with its 21 valuable minerals and trace elements remains the heart of all formulations.
The spring water has been known for years for its soothing and nourishing properties and is considered a true natural gift in the region. It contains minerals such as magnesium, calcium, zinc, silicon, potassium, and bicarbonate, which strengthen the skin barrier, regulate moisture, and support regeneration.
With the new brand identity, the source lab will completely replace the Quellmed brand. All existing skin care products – from creams to sprays – will be gradually introduced in the new design, without any changes to the proven formulas.

“nettle me softly” – gentle cleansing with mineral power
The new line begins with the care shampoo “nettle me softly,” which combines the purity of spring water with effective plant power.
The Nienburg healing spring water contains natural minerals that have a positive effect on hair and scalp:
Magnesium and calcium support the skin's barrier function and help alleviate dryness. Zinc contributes to the regulation of scalp flora, silicon strengthens the hair structure, potassium retains moisture, and bicarbonate balances the scalp's pH.
In combination with nettle extract (Urtica dioica), known for its balancing and vitalizing effect, and panthenol (provitamin B5), which soothes and binds moisture, the result is a shampoo that gently cares for even sensitive scalps.
A subtle hint of natural grapefruit oil provides freshness – without artificial fragrances, parabens, silicones or microplastics.

New deodorant roll-ons – freshness meets skin balance
At the same time, the source lab. is introducing three new deodorant roll-ons – with the same basic principles: effective, skin-friendly, and free of aluminum.
Here, too, the Nienburg healing spring water forms the basis. Its minerals provide balance and care for the skin where conventional deodorants often irritate.
Zinc and magnesium support the natural skin flora, bromide and bicarbonate soothe and relieve irritation, while potassium and sodium ensure a balanced moisture environment.
The zinc ricinoleate it contains effectively neutralizes odors without blocking perspiration – so the skin stays fresh without becoming unbalanced.
The variants at a glance:
Grapefruit with vitalizing freshness, sage-thyme (bergamot-sage) with aromatic herbal freshness and sensitive – completely fragrance-free, ideal for particularly sensitive skin.
All three deodorants are vegan, dermatologically tested, aluminum-free, and consistently avoid parabens and microplastics. They provide gentle care, reliable protection, and demonstrate that naturalness and effectiveness are not mutually exclusive.

With the launch of the source lab, Mittelweser Heilquellen GmbH is opening a new chapter.
